Construction Estimator
Thomaston, CT
This candidate will need to have the following:
- AutoCAD, Revit, SolidWorks, BIM, Tekla experiences.
- MS office programs experiences.
- Strong computer and mathematical skills.
- Knowledge of construction practice and standards.
- knowledge of measurements and blueprint reading skills.
- Knowledge of architectural and structural construction drawings.
- Knowledge of engineering science and technology.
- Persistence and determination.
- Friendly and outgoing with proven history of successful customer-facing experiences.
- Team-oriented, trustworthy, detail-oriented, efficient, self-driven.
- Able to solve problems and seek win-win solutions.

- Commute and work at Thomaston, CT location from 8:00am to 5:00pm (1-hour un-paid lunch), 40 hours per week.
- Must be a minimum of 18 years of age to apply.
Estimator Duties
- Perform quality and quantity take-off of materials, production labor, field labor, equipment’s.
- Collect quotes from materials suppliers and sub-contractors.
- Assessing the levels of risk on a project.
- Preparing and submitting quotation and cost-summaries for scope of work.
- Helping with bids for new contracts and supporting buying activities.
- Create AutoCAD drawings and details per sales department guidelines, procedures, and protocols.
- Provide essential product information, technical and submittal packages to clients.
- Maintain department Coreslab Structures (Conn) library per department guidelines, procedures and protocols.
- Proactively provide support to sales manager, and other technical department staff.
- Keep current with technical and market knowledge through trade publications and attending workshops, seminars, webinars, etc. as appropriate.
- Answer inquiries via telephone, e-mail, fax and or mail.
- Assist in creation of 3D models, when needed.
- Participate in training programs, seminars, tradeshows, client visits and job site installations, as requested.
- Light civil engineering design.
- Enter information into Project Log.
